During the 18th ASEAN Drug Monitoring Network (ADMN) Meeting, the Philippines presented its national report highlighting key developments in drug demand reduction, drug supply control, and data management efforts.

In 2024, the country conducted a total of 38,555 anti-drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 51,275 individuals and the filing of 49,785 drug-related cases. Of these operations, 999 were classified as high-impact, and 3,001 high-value targets were apprehended.

The report also emphasized that shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) continues to be the primary drug of concern in the Philippines, meanwhile marijuana-infused vapes and magic mushrooms were identified as emerging drug trend concerns.

Representing the Philippines were Ms. Joan Marie Sison and Ms. Ella Dimaculangan-Repomanta of the Dangerous Drugs Board, along with Ms. Yvonne San Pascual from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency. They underscored the government’s ongoing initiatives to address drug-related challenges, including strengthened capacity-building efforts, advocacy programs for drug prevention, and the implementation of evidence-based strategies for effective drug control.
