Humid and warm weather from the easterlies would continue to prevail in the country, including Metro Manila where isolated rain showers or thunderstorms would be likely in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Tuesday.
Citing satellite data and analysis, Pagasa weather forecaster Chenel Dominguez said there was no sighting of any weather disturbance entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the coming days.
Meanwhile, another weather pattern – frontal system – is currently affecting Northern Luzon, particularly the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan and Apayao.
Frontal system is defined as the transition zone where different types of masses with contrasting characteristics meet, Domingues said.
When these air masses collide, a frontal zone or front is formed, which can bring about significant changes in weather, such as cloudy skies, rain, and potentially thunderstorms, she added.
“Generally, we would have another hot weather all throughout the day especially during noontime up to early afternoon where sweltering heat would be felt,” Dominguez said.
